Mission Statement
The Primary Mission of the
Manhattan Fire Protection District is to
respond to our customer needs providing Fire
Suppression, Emergency Medical Service, Fire
Prevention & Education and other Specialized
services in a Safe, effective manner.
The
Apparatus of the Month above is Engine 1221.
1221 is a Rescue Engine that is equipped with
750 gallons of water, hydraulic rescue tools
for auto extrication, cribbing for
stabilization, Basic Life Support medical
equipment with AED, generator for portable
scene lights and power equipment, and a 1250
gpm fire pump. Engine 1221 is housed at
Manhattan Station #2.
